Dear customer, first of all, we wish that your experience with our rental service will be positive and satisfying and that it will repeated overtime. Please, read carefully both the Terms and Conditions of Rental and the Specific Rental Conditions, without neglecting the Booking conditions that contain all the necessary documentation to be produced at the time of withdrawal /rental of the vehicle. These conditions apply to bookings made through the website of Felirent Srl: www.felirent.it.
1. Making a booking
A booking allows the customer to reserve a vehicle and optional extras for a specific date, time and location for an agreed rental period. Furthermore, at the time of booking, the amount of the rental will be defined including any extra options that can be booked as expressly quantified and specified in the booking confirmation that the customer will receive at the end of the booking process. This amount excludes any additional costs due to other ancillary services required at the time of rental or other amounts charged to the customer as provided in the Terms and Conditions of Rental and/or the Special Rental Conditions. The reservation does not exempt the customer from the respect of our minimum requirements for the rental and also does not replace in any way the rental contract which must be accepted and signed at the time of withdrawal /rental of the vehicle booked. Moreover, the customer, by concluding the booking procedure, declares to have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions of Rental as well as the Special Conditions of Rental.
2. Reservations made with online payment or with payment at pick-up
At the time of the booking, the customer will be able to choose between two payment options: 2.1 Online payment: the customer who selects this option will pay at the end of the booking process the amount due for the rental period, including any extra options added at the time of booking; please note that some extra options may not have been previously added at the time of booking but might be mandatory according to the Terms and Conditions of Rental and/or Special Rental Conditions, so they will be duly highlighted and submitted to payment when collecting the vehicle. By choosing this method of payment, the customer will cover the balance of the amount, as specified in the reservation, by credit card or debit card. For the type of cards accepted we invite the customer to consult, with the utmost attention, the section “accepted payment methods”. 2.2 Payment at pick-up: The customer who chooses this option will pay the expected amount when collecting the booked vehicle. The total amount of the rental may be readjusted depending on the extra options added at the time of the pick-up of the vehicle according to the customer’s requests or due by the customer on the basis of what is provided in the Terms and Conditions of Rental and/or the Rental Special Conditions. Tariffs reserved for bookings with payment at pick-up may be less advantageous than those provided for bookings with online payment.
3. Changing your booking
The Customer can change either a reservation (whether a paid online or at time of pick-up booking) before the day of collection of the vehicle by contacting the Reservation Office or by contacting the rental office during the opening hours indicated on our website www.felirent.it. There is no extra charge for the change. All requests for changes will be subject to availability and may result in a price difference compared to the original booking due to the rates in force at the time of the request for change. We would like to point out that where such a change relates to the salient data of the reservation such as date/ time, pick-up / delivery, booked car group, the system may not confirm the availability of the rental and/or the rate previously booked might change (even if prepaid). After the change made, the customer will receive a confirmation email with the updated data and cost. In case of booking with payment online or at pick-up, where the cost updated as a result of the change made was higher than the amount originally expected, the customer must make a balance in difference at the time of withdrawal of the car in case of booking with payment online or the balance of the new cost updated in case of booking with payment at pick-up. In the case of reservations with online payment where the updated cost is less than the amount paid any refound will be given.
4. Booking Cancellations
It is possible to cancel the reservation at any time before the established date/time of vehicle pickup. The customer can proceed with the cancellation through the website www.felirent.it or by contacting the booking office by phone or email (email@example.com) and/or by contacting the rental office responsible for the pick-up of the car. The cancellation of the reservation up to 24 hours prior to the date/time established for the pick-up of the car entitles the customer to a refund without any charge in case of booking with online payment. In case of cancellation with less than 24 hours notice and up to 3 hours before the date/time established for the withdrawal a penalty of € 25.00 (twenty-five euros) will be charged. In case of no cancellation of the reservation, if the customer does not show up to pick-up the vehicle, a penalty equal to the full amount of the rental booked (possibly prepaid online at the time of booking) will be charged.
5. Out of hours and delays
In case of booking with pick-up at the airport office, the vehicle booked will be kept available for pick-up by the customer for a maximum of 60 minutes after the date/time of the scheduled pick-up and, in any case, not later than the closing time of the office, beyond these limits the booking will be considered as “No Show”. In case of booking with pick-up at the airport office, the client must indicate the number of the arrival flight. In the presence of this information, the vehicle will be kept available for pick-up by the client for a maximum of 60 minutes after the flight has landed and in any case no later than the closing time of the office. If the flight is delayed beyond the office closing time, the reservation will be kept valid for collection up to 60 minutes beyond the opening time of the day immediately following that of the scheduled collection. In the absence of an indication of the arrival flight number, the vehicle will be kept available for a maximum of 60 minutes and in any case no later than the office closing time. In all cases, once these limits have been exceeded, the reservation will be considered a “No Show”. Reservations with pick up time scheduled out of hour (confirmed by Felirent) car will be kept available for a max of 30 minutes from the scheduled pick up time, once these limits have been exceeded, the reservation will be considered a “No Show”.
6. Client requirements and qualification
At the time of the rental, the customer must be provided with: • Identity card in original complete with the data of residence in Roman alphabet and/or passport complete with photo in which the subject is recognisable. The person hiring the wehicle must bring proof of the address. If not highlighted in the document, it could include a recent utility bill or a bank statement that shows the address. • Driving license in original, issued at least one year earlier, valid for the entire rental period. For customers not resident in Italy an international driving license in addition to their own license may be required. It is possible also to provide a translation of the driving licence in Italian made by an Embassy or by an equivalent authority. • Credit/debit/prepaid Bancomat card registered in the name of the customer and should have the necessary funds to cover the rental amount. • Copy of the booking confirmation in his name
At the time of the signing of the rental contract, it is mandatory that the customer is at least 19 years old (21 years old for car group L-FVMR) and no more than 79 years old during the rental period.
Important: Felirent may refuse to deliver the vehicle to any customer who fails to produce a valid Italian driver’s license for the entire rental period, fails to produce an international driver’s license or an official translation (if applicable) valid for the entire rental period, fails to produce an identification document in addition to the driver’s license, or fails to meet our security and credit requirements/checks.
If the Client does not meet one or more of the above mentioned requirements, no refund will be given in case of a prepaid reservation and the full amount paid upon confirmation of the reservation will be retained as a penalty.
